Whether you are a BPO staff member or manager of a team or HR department in any corporate, it is one's duty to ensure that all staff members receive personal safety and Self Defence training. With increasing knife/ gun crime and sexual assults reports along with other threats out in the real world as well as within the workplace, coupled with the fact that now more than ever before we see staff working globally and at times in hostile environments and or out late after working late, or coming back home from work in a office car or cab, it is hardly surprising that we hear of horrific attacks on valued members of our workforce.
Advantages of Krav Maga as Self Defence
Techniques shown and practiced are based upon the bodies natural reactions in stress situations, making it extremely simple to pick up the basics with no required skills or knowledge of fighting needed beforehand or for that matter fitness or strength.
Participants are taught for example: - - How to avoid becoming frozen in a hostile situation on a street or in a cab or car etc
- Adrenal responses and how to utilize them to escape a possible life-threatening situation.
- How to react to get away as quickly and as safely as possible with the minimum amount of harm to themselves or their colleagues.
The workshops / seminars / courses then goes onto look at basic to advanced (dependent on the course you opt for) combative techniques, how to apply them and when; given different scenarios / situations. The workshops / seminars / courses will be specifically tailored to meet the needs of those attending with the delivery of the course being done in a fun and friendly manner but, with an underlying seriousness that will prove to be an eye opener for most attendees and will prove useful should the worse case scenario occur.

Corporate Membership: Information to HRs A Corporate Membership Account with International Krav Maga Federation, India can assist management by demonstrating a company’s concern for employee’s safety & welfare and adding value to office wage reviews and relocation, redundancy or recruitment packages. Particularly, for companies or groups who may find their staff working late night (BPO), traveling abroad or in hostile environments, by making (Krav Maga) Self Defence tuition and fitness training available to your staff, you will be demonstrating a very clear duty of care, apart from benefits listed above.
With this in mind then we have designed 3 corporate Self Defence and personal safety courses of 4, 8 and 12 hours duration, normally done in 1 day (4 and 8 hours) or 2 days (8 and 12 hours) or alternatively through mutual arrangement according to your companies schedule.
There are 4 main options available for any company or group (10 or more) considering a corporate account with International Krav Maga Federation, India.
Briefly, these are:
- The company decides to fund the memberships in full as a benefit of employment.
- The company decides to make a partial contribution towards the funding of the memberships
- The company does not contribute financially, each employee taking out a membership pays from their own personal account.
- The company decides to fund an “in-house” class exclusively tailored for its employees
| Option1: Increasingly companies consider this option as a part of the employee's benefits package alongside health insurance, childcare, company cars, petrol allowances etc. Payment is accepted either by monthly direct debit or annually in advance (which attracts additional savings). |
Option2: There are a number of different ways in which a company may make a partial contribution: -
- The company may cover the costs of an initial course of training, or demonstration for employees and then employees who may wish to join the club pay their subscriptions thereafter by monthly direct debit from their own accounts.
- The company pays annually in advance each year for any subscriptions and then deducts an amount from each employee's monthly salary each month (in effect this amounts to an interest free loan).
- The company may choose to pay IMKF, India in full (as above), subsidizing each employee's membership by a certain amount from a social/sports club budget or similar fund for example.
|
| Option3: The company invests a little time and resource in negotiating and promoting an offer to it's employees so as to facilitate the best offer for them, but does not need to invest in the actual purchase of the memberships. |
| Option4: Training can be arranged exclusively for your employees, so should you wish to make a class available specifically to your staff on a regular basis then IKMF, India can arrange for an instructor to visit your premises for a negotiated or indefinite period of time. |
Payment Methods Annual payment may be by an individual cheque; credit card, company cheque or wire-transfer, or, alternatively, you may spread the cost by paying by monthly direct debit.
Corporate Contact and Administration To facilitate an efficient administration for both parties IKMF, India requires a key Corporate Contact at the company, whose responsibility it is to liaise with IKMF, India on all membership administration. We also require a contact person, who is tasked with facilitating the promotion of the scheme, (who may or may not be the same person). A backup contact should be fully briefed prior to any holidays or in the case of prolonged periods of absence. Likewise, IKMF, India will provide each Corporate with the name of a contact for their account. |

Anti-Car JackingCar jacking is the violent form of vehicle theft. It is a serious threat to our personal safety because the thief uses force and fear to rob our car from us. Sometimes the car owner or other occupants are kidnapped during a car jacking, and if lucky will be dropped off nearby unharmed. The worst case scenario occurs when you are transported to a secondary crime scene, which is usually more dangerous than the original confrontation. Those not so lucky victims have suffered other crimes like rape, aggravated assault, and even homicide.
Car jacking can be traumatic to our everyday lives because it creates fear in the common act of driving a car. To reduce your risk of being carjacked, we have listed some common sense steps below: - Always park in well-lighted areas, if you plan to arrive/leave after dark
- Don't park in isolated or visually obstructed areas near walls or heavy foliage
- As you walk to your car be alert to suspicious persons sitting in cars
- As you approach your car, look under, around, and inside your car
- If safe, open the door, enter quickly, and lock the doors
- Make it your habit to always start your car and drive away immediately
- In isolated areas, always drive with your car doors locked and windows rolled up
- When stopped in traffic, leave room ahead to maneuver and escape, if necessary
- If you are bumped unnecessarily, be suspicious of the accident
- Don't stop and drive to a busy place before getting out
- If you are ever confronted by an armed carjacker don't resist
- Give up your keys or money if demanded without resistance
- Don't argue, fight or chase the robber. You can be seriously injured
- Never agree to be kidnapped. Drop the cars keys and run and scream for help
- If you are forced to drive, consider crashing your car near a busy intersection to attract attention so bystanders can come to your aid and call the police.
